Fables of Faith
In each 15-minute episode of this beloved show, children in the Fables of Faith studio drop in on the animal characters of the Unity Club. Club members Bruce the Goose, Philip Fox, Beauregard Bear and others tackle real life problems and feelings that kids often face such as jealousy, fear, and prejudice. These dramatizations were heard daily during Moody Radio’s "Adventures from the Bookshelf" broadcast. Young listeners (and older listeners, too!) loved tuning in to hear the continuing adventures of characters from much-loved Christian book series like "Prairie Princess," "Little Pilgrim’s Progress," and "All Things . . . Even Frisky". Each episode is 15 minutes long. Most of the 64 books have 10 episodes per story, but some have many more! Kids World - Here you'll find a variety of illustrated online lessons for kids of all ages. Even though they are not animated like some of the other sites, there are two series that lets you hear each lesson being read to you! One is called Storytime for ages 5-8, and the other is titled "The Boy and the Cabin" for ages 7-12. They even have lessons for teens, and some of those have video versions! And after each lesson you can answer "multiple choice questions" right on the computer to see how much you’ve learned. And they offer progress award posters that you can print out and display proudly – you get a new one after every 5 lessons you pass. If you live in the U.S., you can also go to The Mailbox Club to receive many of the same lessons by mail instead, which you may prefer, because that way you can get more rewards (such as personal letters of encouragement, colorful certificates, and bonus booklets).
